Isagenix 30 Day Challenge | Part Two

sweet_potatoe_chips_blog-2000x1086DAY 11 | Sunday, January 22

  • Breakfast: Iconix Supreme + 1 Accelerator + Chocolate IsaLean Shake
  • Snack: 8 oz. Black Coffee
  • (Late) Lunch: Arugula & Spinach Salad + 1 Garlic Chicken Sausage Link + 2 Brown Rice Tortillas
  • Snack: 2 Rice Cakes
  • Dinner: Vanilla IsaLean Shake + 2 IsaFlush

Today was an easier day! With a late start, I didn’t have my “real food meal” as we are now calling them, until around 3pm. It was delicious. A simple dressing recipe of 1 part lemon juice + 1 part olive oil with a bit of salt, pepper and 21 seasoning salute (shout out to A Lite Bite for sharing the recipe) over arugula and spinach tasted like heaven. I am noticing that my snacks have been very carb heavy, so I’m going to try to swap that out this week for more complex carb options or protein.

DAY 12 | Monday, January 23

  • Breakfast: Iconix Supreme + 1 Accelerator + Chocolate IsaLean Shake + 16 oz. Black Coffee
  • Snack: Cucumber Slices
  • Lunch: Baked chicken + sweet potato chips + spinach salad (with lemon & EVOO vinaigrette)
  • Snack: 2 eggs + ½ avo + pico de gallo + 1 rice cake
  • Dinner: Chocolate IsaLean Shake

Spaced out my snacks so that I had a bigger snack at dinner time rather than two equal snacks throughout the day…in hindsight this probably was not the best idea: I was super exhausted after work! Baked sweet potato chips are moving up on my list of favorite allowed items…thinking of experimenting with spices (Remember Red Robin seasoning?) next week.

DAY 13 | Tuesday, January 24

  • Breakfast: Iconix Supreme + Chocolate IsaPro Shake
  • Snack: Yellow Pepper Slices
  • Lunch: Spinach Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette  and Chicken Sausage + 1 brown rice tortilla
  • Snack: 100 Calorie Pack of raw almonds
  • Dinner: Vanilla IsaLean Shake + 2 Isaflush
  • Snack: Brown Rice Cake

Needed to space out my meals more today because I was up earlier than I have been. I also added a heavier snack in the afternoon to combat a dip in energy and keep me running through my work-study hours at the studio. I felt really unsatisfied throughout the day (first time!).

DAY 14 | Wednesday, January 25

  • Breakfast: Iconix Supreme + Vanilla IsaLean Shake
  • Snack: Coffee w. Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup + 100 Calorie Pack Almonds + Accelerator
  • Lunch: Chicken with Cauliflower Rice + Broccoli + Spinach Salad
  • Snack: 3 oz Quinoa Salad
  • Dinner: Chocolate IsaLean Shake + 2 Isaflush
  • Snack: 1 Brown Rice Cake

Sorta cheated today with sugar free syrup in my coffee and I actually didn’t really like the taste! It was way too sweet. I truly think my tastebuds have evolved with this diet.  I had a longer day today and felt hungrier than usual at the end of the day. Not wanting to take my chances with those mid-night stomach pains, I had a snack before bed.

DAY 15 | Thursday, January 26 – 2nd Cleanse, Day 1

7PM: Cleanse for Life #4

8: 2 IsaDelights

9PM: Isaflush

This week I’ve had earlier than usual work start time (2 hours earlier) which has been good, because it’s getting me back into the habit of waking up early, but also a challenge because the workday is longer and either induced by craving or actual hunger, I’ve been a little less satiated. Having said that, I am also starting to feel the longer term goals and longevity of this program start to kick in. I feel like I have some goals to set beyond the 30 day benchmark and see this as more of a food awareness exercise than true diet.

Learning from last week’s mistake, I started the morning with my shot of Iconix Supreme, held off on the Accelerator, then waited until after ordering my grande blonde at Starbucks to  start sipping on my first Cleanse for Life (juice) of the day. I brought a Blender Bottle with me to work so that I could confidently measure out 4oz. of juice and dilute it with at a minimum 5 ice cubes and 8oz of water. After a few sips, that terrible nauseous feeling came back, so I popped two Snacks! (exclamation point v. necessary) before finishing my juice. That coating did the trick.

We did not receive our IsaDelights and Whey Thins on time due to a litany of mailing issues, but after sampling the goods before bed, we are VERY excited about how much easier this will be with our new flavorful treats.

3:30PM: 2 IsaSnacks + nat accel.

5:30PM: CFL 4

8:30PM: 2 IsaFlush

This cleanse day I felt more “off” than last week – a little light headed and inconsistent with my snacking. The online guides for how many snacks you are allowed are confusing and inconsistent. I found that stomaching the accelerators made me very nauseous without taking them with something else, so I upped my “snack” number. All in all, though this was our last day of the cleanse, I feel like I would definitely revisit the cellular cleanse before a big event or beach trip. If I were to do it again, I’d try to follow the schedule below, adding 2 snacks if I was very hungry.

8AM : Iconix Supreme

9AM : 8oz Coffee + 1 IsaDelight + 1 Natural Accelerator

10AM: Cleanse for Life #1

11AM: 1 Isagenix Snack

12PM: Cleanse for Life #2

8PM: Cleanse for Life #4

DAY 17 | Saturday, January 28

  • Breakfast: Iconix Supreme + Vanilla IsaLean Shake w. greens
  • Snack: 1 Egg + Avocado + Pico de Gallo on a rice cake
  • Dinner: Garlic Shrimp w. zucchini/spinach & brown rice tortilla chip (300)
  • Snack: rice cake w. avo (150)
  • Snack: whey thins (100)
  • Dessert: Chocolate IsaPro Shake + 2 Isaflush

DAY 18 | Sunday, January 29

  • Breakfast: Vanilla IsaLean + 1 egg white = pancakes + nat. accelerator + Ionix Supreme
  • Snack: 1.5 Rice Cake + Almond Butter
  • Lunch: brown rice pasta, zucchini, spinach, turkey bolognese
  • Snack: ½ rice cake + 2 IsaDelights + nat  accelerator
  • Dinner: Chocolate IsaLean

Today I was craving a hearty meal, and very satisfied by the brown rice pasta and zucchini dish we prepared. The boost from some IsaDelights in the afternoon definitely helped keep cravings at bay and give me some energy later in the day.

At the end of the day, we took our measurements! I was excited to see that I’ve lost around an inch everywhere, 2.5” on my thighs and 3” on my abdomen. Super encouraging and interesting to see the effect of gluten and dairy on belly bloat. Though we’re a little more than half way complete with the cleanse, I can see myself sticking with a similar diet most days. Don’t get me wrong, I’m counting down the days until I splurge on Mac&Cheese, but looking and feeling the way I want is definitely worth sticking to this kind of a diet.

DAY 19 | Monday, January 30

  • Breakfast: Ionix Supreme + Vanilla IsaLean Shake + 16 oz. Coffee
  • Snack: 100 Calorie Pack of Raw Almonds + Natural Accelerator
  • Lunch: Brown Rice Pasta + Zucchini + Turkey Bolognese
  • Snack: Whey Thins
  • Snack: Oops! AmberLyn Chocolate Bar + nibbles of sweet potato chips and kale I was roasting
  • Dessert: Chocolate IsaPro Shake + 2 Isaflush

This was a rose and thorn kind of day. Thorn: I cheated! After teaching a yoga private, my friend/client offered some Amber Lynn sugar free chocolate that was so downright delicious, I ate all 170 calories of the bar. Though I indulged, it was so fulfilling! It felt like a nice treat (not something I wanted more of immediately afterwards). Rose: I weighed myself for the first time and saw a number I haven’t seen in years. I’m still around 13 pounds from my goal weight, but I am confident I can get there by my spring deadline.

DAY 20 | Tuesday, January 31

  • Breakfast: Ionix Supreme + Vanilla IsaLean Shake + 16 oz. Coffee
  • Lunch: Roasted Sweet Potatoes + Roasted Kale + Deli Turkey + Beets + ½ Avocado
  • Snack: 1 Isadelight
  • Dessert: Vanilla IsaPro Shake + 2 Isaflush

I opted for a slightly larger, very colorful lunch today with just a little extra fat than usual (potatoes and kale cooked with EVOO) and I’m so glad I did! The meal filled me up and kept me going the rest of the afternoon. This roasted salad bowl is a great option for snowy winter days when a cold meal just won’t do.
